Guide to parking at Central
Whether you’re visiting from out of town or hitting up some of Sydney’s best restaurants, there is limited parking near Central Station. Your best bet is to plan ahead of time if you intend on driving and book your parking in advance, so that you’re not circling the busy one way streets.
On-street parking in Central
If you’re lucky enough to find yourself a parking space on the street, parking rates range from $3.20 per hour to $7.40 per hour on weekdays, and are all time limited, between 1 hour – 4 hours.

Do note, street parking is sparse and hard to find. You don’t want to be stressed out circling the busy streets and one-way streets around central. Save time and money and reserve a guaranteed parking space in one of Oscar’s Car Parks.
Off-street parking in Central
Casual carpark rates around Central start from $9.00 for just 30 min and can add up to $49 for over 3 hours. Weekend parking rates at these car parks are usually cheaper and start at $20 per day.

Public transport
Central station is conveniently located in the middle of the Central Sydney area, within walking distance to Central Park Mall, Haymarket, Chinatown, and Surry Hills.
There are also a number of bus routes that go down George Street and stop right outside Central station.
